Who can join BBM+?
BBM+ is exclusively for contractors with a Best Buy Metals account. Joining costs nothing, and every member starts at the BBM+ tier.
What do I need to sign up?
Two things: your Customer Number — on your Best Buy Metals paperwork, in the row with Salesperson and Terms — and an email address that is already on that account.
My email was not accepted. Why?
Sign-up only accepts an email address already on file against your Best Buy Metals account. That is what ties the new login to the right account, so it cannot be skipped.
If yours was rejected, the address simply is not on the account yet. Visit your Best Buy Metals rep in person, ask them to add it to your Best Buy Metals account, then come back and sign up.
How do I get back into my account?
Sign in with the email address you registered with. If the portal does not recognise it, that address is not on your Best Buy Metals account — see the question above.
If you have forgotten your password or cannot access your account for any other reason, visit your Best Buy Metals rep in person for help.
How do I move up a tier?
Tiers are set by your lifetime points: 50,000 for BBM+ Pro and 100,000 for BBM+ Premier. Pro earns 1.5× the base rate and Premier earns 2×.
Lifetime points only ever go up. Spending your points lowers your available balance, never your tier.
Do my points expire?
Points are earned in terms, and a term is a calendar year. Points you earn during a term stay spendable until January 31st of the following year, so you always have the whole month of January to use the previous term’s points.
Expiration only affects your available balance. It never reduces your lifetime points, so it cannot move you down a tier.
